Here we have a pretty cool slammed Volvo 245. This old wagon looks like an old bucket. Rusty elements were a little fixed and painted by aerosol. This Volvo 245 looks almost like some ratrod, but it is not rusty. However, this old and fantastically reliable wagon has some interesting features we may discuss.
Not ideal paint doesn’t mean that car is in the same condition inside. Else id doesn’t mean that car is definitely slow and isn’t fun. You are forgetting that turbo is not a new feature for Volvo.
Volvo are such kind of cars, that their tuning is not massive like in case with BMW. But almost all tuning projects based on Volvo are absolutely insane. Like 800hp Volvo 745 for drift on our site. That wagon is partly made from carbon fiber to loose weight. This stanced Volvo 245 isn’t so insane, but is not ordinary as well.
Actually, this slammed Volvo 244 has powerful enough turbo engine to burnout and make some smoke. You just may admire an engine bay here. It looks much better than all other car. Only engine bay has a fresh painting and is clean. But as for clean, these awesome 3-piece wheels BBS with gold centers and wide polished outer rims are clean and look awesome as well. But looking at the engine, I’m sure it’s the heart of all this project. All is clean, polished, painted. I just feel the power while looking at this engine.
Else this slammed Volvo 245 got an air suspension. Airlift is always the best solution for any stance project. And probably air suspension controller is the most modern thing in this old Sweden sedan :-) However, it allows to adjust the fitment just in touch. Very easy and gives a lot of possibilities to adjust the fitment according to the road, your taste or situation. Else it compensates some loosing of comfort after larger wheels installing.
Besides air suspension, new wheels and engine, this Volvo 245 got else a few modifications. Old headlights were blacked inside and got bi-xenon or bi-LED projectors. More light is important for powerful and fast car. Else many modern technologies were used in engine bay. Old engines from Volvo can have a huge power, but they need new technologies for it.
