We were waiting for new Toyota Land Cruiser J250 already for a long time. It’s really brand new model. New design, new engines and actual technologies. New Land Cruiser already isn’t a dinosaur in SUV world like previous Land Cruiser or its luxury brother Lexus LX 570. And I guess this Toyota Land Cruiser Prado J250 (on some markets it’s Prado, on another it’s simple Land Cruiser) looks awesome. SUV looks almost like old Land Cruiser 70 or 80 with these headlights. But cheaper versions will have another headlights.
It’s still Land Cruiser, one of the best between real offroaders, but updated by all new technologies. So, let’s watch more close at this new shape of legend.
It’s almost miracle that new generation didn’t got angry design like another Toyota’s models. This Land Cruiser has left as an ultimate offroader. And it’s design has nothing similar with previous generation. And it’s not a surprise because previous Prado was producing too long. Last years that SUV looked pretty outdated. But this… I like this new square design. Looks like a blend of modern design and a design from late 1970s or early 1980s. But I like it.
As for engines this Land Cruiser got new turbo engines. Future has changed and old reliable engines can’t pass new ecological terms any more. And likely this SUV would get else more ecological powertrains. They wouldn’t be so reliable, but new technologies aren’t always bad.
As for tuning of this Toyota Land Cruiser Prado J250, this SUV already has some minor changes. At first, owner has made it a little more stylish. And we made all right because tinted windows are always look awesome on white body. Black trim looks cool as well. All this unpainted plastic makes this vehicle a real oldschool offroader. But in the same moment this SUV got cool and expensive wheels. But we almost can’t see them due to black paint. I guess this decision to order wheels finished in black was a mistake.
We will have many tuning parts and kits to get such Toyota Land Cruiser J250 tuned. And it would be awesome. But now we can afford just universal things, like these cool wheels, or some custom solutions.
