Since production began last December, tuners are just beginning to explore the 2023 Prius. We can anticipate a surge in aftermarket parts globally. This lowered 2023 Toyota Prius will likely generate mixed reactions. However, the fifth-generation model’s sharper design makes the lowered suspension particularly striking.
I’ve noticed several stanced 2023 Toyota Prius, mostly appearing in Japan this month. The one on display here is the most extreme version I’ve seen.
Notably, this setup lacks air suspension, so the ride height can’t be adjusted with a button. How do those wheels survive?
The slammed 2023 Prius comes from Japanese tuner 326 Power
Owned by Masahiro Ozaki, known as masa.77.77.77, this 2023 Toyota Prius is a demo car for 326 Power, a Japanese tuner with a presence in the US. Previously, Mihnea showcased their outrageous Testarossa-inspired Toyota 86 widebody kit.

Key to lowering the car in its static form are the 326 Power Chakuriki dampers. These height-adjustable coilovers maintain significant travel even when the car is lowered, ensuring ride and handling quality.
The 326 Power Ghost wheels are wide-arch or overfender versions, extending beyond the factory wheel arches. When fully lowered, these overfender wheel lips barely clear the arches.

The Pros and Cons of negative camber
Next, let’s talk about the significant negative camber. For race and drift cars, negative camber is beneficial. It enhances cornering grip, reduces body roll, and improves steering feel. However, in this case, we must consider the drawbacks. Negative camber affects straight-line stability, causes uneven tire wear, and decreases acceleration and braking performance.
Nevertheless, in the stance community, form takes precedence over function. The slammed 2023 Prius is more about visual impact than practicality. The first image in the gallery below shows a stock Prius for comparison.

The Midnight Black Metallic color of this Prius conceals some styling features of the fifth-generation model. However, the four-door coupe-like silhouette of the new Prius complements this color choice, enhancing the project’s appeal.
