As the Tokyo Auto Salon 2023 approaches, Liberty Walk is gearing up to make a significant impact at the event. While we’ve already discussed the headline act โ the Ferrari F40 widebody kit โ Liberty Walk is set to unveil a range of new releases, including the Liberty Walk Lexus LX600 widebody kit, the details of which have recently been revealed.
SUVs continue to dominate the market share, and tuners, like carmakers, must adapt to this trend to ensure resources are available for niche releases, such as the remarkable Liberty Walk F40 widebody.
Liberty Walk’s expansion into the SUV category is evident with its Lexus LX600 widebody kit. The company’s website initially showcased renderings for the LX600. But today, Liberty Walk took to Instagram to unveil real-world images of a build prepared for the Tokyo Auto Salon.
The comprehensive LX600 widebody kit, priced at $22,660, includes a front lip spoiler, front bumper garnish, hood, rear diffuser, front and rear overfenders, roof spoiler, and tailgate lip spoiler. The kit incorporates various materials, such as fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP), dry carbon, and carbon fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP).
For those looking for a more budget-friendly option, selecting specific components or opting for the base FRP offerings can reduce the kit’s price to $7,370. True to Liberty Walk’s style, each part is also available for individual purchase.
The Lexus LX600, introduced as the fourth generation in 2022, shares its platform with the Toyota Land Cruiser J300 series. Notably, the LX is the sole option for North American consumers following Toyota’s decision to discontinue Land Cruiser in 2021.
The 2023 LX600 has a price $89,160, just $2,130 more than the base 2021 Land Cruiser. The LX600 lineup includes Premium and Luxury trims, an F Sport Handling model, and a range-topping Ultra Luxury version, priced at $129,250 for the 2023 model year. The Ultra Luxury variant features a four-seat layout, including captain’s chairs for the second row.
The new platform, retaining the body-on-frame architecture for off-roading, sheds up to 440 lbs (200 kg). All LX600 models are equipped with twin-turbo 3.4L V6 engine producing 409hp and 479lb-ft of torque, replacing the traditional V8. The engine lineup concludes with the LX500d, featuring a 3.3L twin-turbo diesel with 302+ hp for other markets.
In a market saturated with carbon-customized Escalades and modified Range Rovers, Liberty Walk’s aftermarket treatment enhances the LX600’s aesthetic appeal. By the way, we have here an article about Cadillac Escalade from Mansory. Check out that article as well.
